Have A Nice Memory !!!

It's not like previous classes, after finishing once, we can register for the next lvl....

These days im not feeling very well. Yes, finish this course, im free and just wait till September to go to university. There is nothing have to worry about. If it makes sense, i have to be happy, dont i ???

In general, i think i will be very happy. But right now, i feel worried. I have been studying here quite long - 5 lvls, but i've not had this feeling. In my mind, i can see there is something will be missing after this class finished. What's that ??? - That's you guys - my friends. Someone will take vacation going back contries and then will come back here, but there are also someone will be never back here again. And..... people are never back here, means... i will be losing them.

This lvl is the hardest and also the funniest class i've joined. Yes, before, i had friends at previous lvls, but i dont think i love them much. In my mind, finishing 1 class and going are very common. But, since last week, i've seen it's not that easy. Everyday, we meet each other, we eat together, and just next week, there will be ..... Now, i feel i have to consider the left time. Even sometimes, i wish this class would be never ending. But, there is no party lasts forever. Everything i have to do is admit what's going. This class will be my very very beautiful memory.

Reaction about Video-Game

Well, if talk about Video-Game (VG), i'm a excited fan of it. As we know, nowadays VGs not only aim to only children, but also there are alot of different levels of age are play them.

Well, everything has its own value, and VGs are either. VGs have both negative and positive impacts on our society. About negative aspects, playing VGs is kind of wasting time, they cost alot of money of gamers, and also affect on health such as creating visual problems, obesity, both physical and psycological violence and others. Basing on these negative effects, VGs should be abolished. However, about positive aspects, VGs bring to alot of benefits such as creating jobs and being one of incomes of contries. Moreover, VGs are considered a kind of entertainment that helps people relaxed after studying or working hours; and VGs also create an social environment like our daily life, people can get friends in the game, have talks and fun together.

Well, it's hard to decide that which aspects are better than the other one. But, for me, now, VGs are one of elements in our life. If VGs are missing, there will be something changing. Also, we can not deny the profits that they are making. Instead of judging, we should admit them.

Paper Rearch

Yea, we had almost 4 weeks to do paper researchs. And finally, we'd done! This is the first time i wrote a project long 14 pages. When firstly i knew i would write project that long, i feel surprised. I wondered how can it be like that. Even when writing an essay about 3 pages are maximum. So, i though i couldn't do it.

Once i started the project, first step finding information to choose topic was not so easy. There are huge information. Even i had chosen a topic, but it was still divided and linked to many aspects. Selecting right information and making a logical organization of the project were the most challenging. It's super complicated. Checking books from library, searching information from the Internet and making notes was taking a long time. Moreover, when we started writing first drafts of each sections, it was amazingly tiring. When i though i finished 1 section, but after handing it, it was like i had to do that section again. And this thing happened over and over. Just think about that time, i feel exhauted. >"<

I see that working on this kind of project is so wearying. But, there are some interesting. Once, i was spending alot of time with friends to work together in library. It created more chances for me to be with them. Even working on the project, but it was not boring, and also made me enjoy in my work. Another once, when you are holding a paper research and there is your name on it, how do u feel? A little proud of yorself? Yeah, it's what i was feeling.

Anyway, this is a nice experience to work on. There is nothing interesting than choosing some things that your are cuirious, woking on it and finally explaining them to everyone.

Experience of presentation

I dont know how to say! Actually, not any presentation is easy. If it's easy, it's like telling a story. However, i see that it was not so hard at last time i presented. The hardest part (doing paper research) was passed. I had a long time to collect information about the topic, it was not so easy. Also, correcting after handing first darfts of each section was so many times. So, i more or less got used to the topic. The main ideas, im clearlier than anyone else. Thus, the most concerned work was just focus on making PowerPoint and practice. Moreover, because i was presenting in our class, so it made me feel much more comfortatble even at that time i was super nervous ^^!
In fact, at that time, i was not doing well. Many times i forgot where i was in the presentation. That's why i stopped suddently, and had to read my notes. This was the first time i made PowerPoint and stood to present my topic. I know this is the principle when studying in University. I hope i can do it fluently next times.

Feedback about Growth of Population

Growth of population is the most concerned problem in every where. It brings to alot of troubles in many aspects such as pollution, living space, poverty and food. Today, after listening about "Food crisis" - presentation of Mey, i suddently think about between these 2 problems. Do Food crisis and Population Growth have the same source? If compare Population Growth to other concerned problems, i think it's the most important. Some problems we can reduce negative consequences, or change it to positive ways. But, for this problem, how can we solve? Yes, we are We are trying to reduce this problem by making family planning, enlarging space in horizon ... but population is still growing. We can't ask people something like stop giving brith or ask them to die, to have more space and more food. No, we can't. So, if ask me how i feel about it, i just can say "Well, Let It Be!"...

Reaction About "Love"

"Love" presents in everyone's inner. Human has love. Animal has love. So, What's "Love"???
Actually, no one can certainly define what love is. Love can be simple and yet very complex too. However, everyone can know what the feeling of love is. People have love since they are born. The more we are getting old, the more we are falling in "love areas" as areas between family members, between friends and between human and animal.

The lecture about "Love" on our class helps me understand more what is called "Love". There are four types of love which are Philia, Romance, Agape, and Eros. Each type has it own characteristics. However, they all have the link that related to each other. That's why people are usually misunderstand between love areas.

The one that i'm intersted in is Romance. It seems to be the most complicated area that every people are chasing. Love in this area can make people satisfied and also can make they disappointed.

Finally, i see that "Love" is a present of life. It makes our lives has meaning. Moreover, there are somethings amazing if people are in love. Do you think so?

Happiness - Question #1 - p.225

There is nothing that's perfect in the world. However, everything depends on how we do think, how we do see. Lets talk about a glass that's filled a half of water. How can you think about it? You would say, "there is just a half glass of water, it's not enough to drink" (a), or " there is still a half glass of water, i can drink it" (b). Yes, it can be seen like a competition between optimism or pessimism. If you think it's better to be (a) - it means you're happy with your life, with what u have. And if you think it's better to be (b), u should look over about how u are satisfied with your life.

My life is not perfect. However i'm satisfied with what i have. If asking how i can expressing my life, i'd like to choose a face which shows the most happiness. In my mind, there is always presentation of a word.

"If u put yourself to do, u might get 1% of succeed. But if u don't do, u will be failed forever".

Even there is only 1 percent but it's better than nothing. And this is what i'm doing to reach to my ambition, my success.

Deja Dead - Presentation

"Deja Dead" - Already dead is the first and longest English novel that i have read. Even i read it in hurry, i really enjoyed it. On friday, we - I, Pedro and Nicole, finally did our presentation about this novel. I'm glad to finish the book project. I realize 1 thing. Even i did read and understand the story, it doen't mean i can present well without practicing. I'm not really satisfied with my presentation. I know my speaking is not good. I tried but when i looked at audience, i felt there were some things wrong in my pronunciation. Maybe because it's my accent not good or because i didn't practiced enough or can be both. Anyway, i have to push myself on practicing and focus on speaking harder. This is the importion key to get in University. I hope i would be able to present better on next time.

Picnic - BBQ

Friday, 18th April.

Today, we go to The Maisonneuve Park to have a BBQ. This is the craziest group that i've known. Everyone wants to go somewhere to have BBQ after class, but no one prepares any thing. We have to buy meat, buy some material for BBQ. It takes along time. That's y we plan to get over the park at 3pm, but 5 pm we just come and then have to find the place, patch the oven, make fire on charcoal. And finnally, nearly 6pm, we now can start the BBQ. It's called Korean BBQ, is made by Nicole. Look at these pics. It's not bad, right? We use a sauce ( i don't know) and Kimchi to eat with this kind of meat ( bacon). After finishing the meat, we ll some corns. See the pic of corns, only 1 corn is different. Whose it is? Of course the thing is not normal is belong to a person also is not normal ----> Nicole - Kocrazy (new nick name = Korean + alittle unnormal). Well, even there are 6 people, but we really have fun. U can see on the pics how happy we r when we're together. Im also proud of myself, haha, they say im a good leader, create this opinion ( go to have a BBQ picnic). And i also think so!! :)). Anyway, i love my friends !!!

Learning Language

The biggest difference from my first language and English

My first language is Vietnamese. There are serveral difference between Vietnamese and English. First one is grammar. Of course, vocabulary is totally different. I don't mention about this. But, we dont have any past or past participle verb. Moreover, using preposition is problem that i usually get mistakes. In Vietnamese, we dont need which preposition follows which word. If the sentence has meaning, makes sense, then it will be fine. Second, writting an composition is also various. Introduction, in particularly, is entirely different. In my language, we dont need have a thesis statement. when we start a composition, we just need to make an introduction attractive readers. It doesn't need to be clear, we can make questions that lead to the topic, then make readers more cuirous to read. Finally, pronunciation is completely various. we never prononce the last letter. Ex, my name is "Loc". Here, everyone calls me Loc ( plus "k" at the end), so my name become ---> "Lock". And Vietnamese people just call me Loc ( without k). So, this is the problem that's hard for me and other vietnamese people to study English. Its hard, but its not impossible, ill try my best!

At first, i didnt get used to it, and later, someone call me as " locker locker locker.." but i think its funny. So... dont mind :P.

CellPhone Restrictions

From The Gazette, Saturday 29th March. The artical talks about the cellphone restrictions.
Because of the accidents caused by using cellphone when people are driving is increasing, Quecbec established a new law which is ban on using hand-held phones when people are driving.
The Goverment hopes the new law will cut down on accidents, but the result still has not been known yet.
Now, drivers now are looking for hand-free phones which will remain legal when they are driving instead of using hand-held ones. Thus, it may cause other effects. People think that it's safe to drive with hands-free, they will buy them and talk even more on cellphone. Research shows that the more people talk on cell while driving, the higher the risk of having an accident.
One of the most serious problem caused by using cell while driving is distraction. Research indicates distraction from cellphone can reduce driver's attention to other signs such as visual and audio clues that could help avoid crashes. Moreover, studies show that the effects caused by hand-held or hands-free phone are the same.
According to research, when a person is driving and talking on the phone, he is virtually out of vehicle. Plus, it will takes a half-second before comming back into the vehicle. During that time, the vehicle will move 10-15 meters and that can be the difference between life and death.
Author said if goverment want to release a ban, it should have prohibited hands-free phones as well.

I think the ban on using hand-held phone while driving is right. Otherwise, banning on hands-free phone is hard to be acceptable. First, we can't only just look at bad results. Not everyone will get accidents when they talking on the phone while drving. Moreover, we use hands-free phone, our hands are free to drive. It's much better than hand-held phone and can reduce accidents. Second, the time that people drive car everyday is about 1 or 2 hours. Plus, if you travel to other places of country, it will take along time to drive. Thus, without using cellphone it, it's not really a good solution.
